101clothing.com started out from a small shop in Los Angeles, Ca in 1999. It was one of the first online hip hop clothier stores that offered urban wear at wholesale prices to the public. Customers were buying brand name clothing at 35% - 70% off retail. The store could offer these prices due to the fact that pre-packs sometimes were sold individually as some retailers bought certain colors and sizes. This left an abundant of individual items that needed to be sold and would just drop in value had the online store never been born.

Interesting Fact: We had an online store, an actual physical storefront, and a wholesale department all from one location!

With everything in place 101clothing.com grew and its customer base expanded to the Eastern coast. Orders were coming in, it was like Christmas everyday. Business was good and the system was in place.

Before we knew it, we had to allocate one half of the wholesale section just for 101clothing.com orders. The orders were being fulfilled, customers were happy and so were we. Internet users suddenly became very open to purchasing online more often and we set out to give them more reason to buy with coupons and special packaging to wish lists and profiles.

At the end of the new millennium, we were serving hip hop fans and urban dressers from coast to coast. If you were buying hip hop online most likely you were buying it from us. We also partnered up with 101urbanwear.com, and allstreetwear.com to promote different lines like Baby Phat, Phat Farm, Rocawear, and Coogi.

Interesting Fact: All of the photos and photo editing was done by our in-house staff photographer and photo editing team.
